introductions

I got this lamp from a local artist. "The spaceman retires, all studio items for sale" reads the sign above the awning.I go in and poke around. There are various wood items, a beautiful four poster bed frame; many abstract paintings I adored, but were out of my price range....and then there was this. A vintage side lamp. A friend of mine thinks it's IKEA, I don't really care. I love it and it was only $10.

There was a floor lamp that was very unique too. I wasn't quick enough though. Ray, was his name, but I didn't know it at the time. Ray was to quick and got the floor lamp for $10 as well. I asked him if he wanted to step out side and fight for it. Hm he must have thought I was serious. He didn't laugh. So I did, a very nervous, girlie laugh, he was really cute too! ..and then I quickly left the store.

Later that night I ran into him and his friend Carole at an Art opening. He introduced me as the girl that almost beat him up for a light fixture.

Carole, gave me her business card and said we should do lunch.
She's a singer/songwriter. She's written songs for some big names like Jon Bon Jovi! WHAT? Living in Beacon keeps getting better and better.
